Zinc Sulfide (ZnS) Sputtering Targets

InquiryData sheet
Zinc sulfide (or zinc sulphide) is an inorganic compound with the chemical formula of ZnS. This is the main form of zinc found in nature, where it mainly occurs as the mineral sphalerite. Although this mineral is usually black because of various impurities, the pure material is white, and it is widely used as a pigment. In its dense synthetic form, zinc sulfide can be transparent, and it is used as a window for visible optics and infrared optics.

Material Notes

Zinc Sulfide Sputtering Target, Purity is 99.99%; Circular: Diameter <= 14inch, Thickness >= 1mm; Block: Length <= 1.4m(by several pieces custruction), Width <= 12inch, Thickness >= 1mm. Bonding is recommended for these materials. Many materials have characteristics which are not amenable to sputtering, such as, brittleness and low thermal conductivity. This material may require special ramp up and ramp down procedures. This process may not be necessary with other materials. Targets that have a low thermal conductivity are susceptible to thermal shock.
